ത്വാഇഫിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു സ്ത്രീയോ പുരുഷനോ നബി ﷺ യുടെ ക്ഷണം സ്വീകരിച്ചില്ല. ദുഃഖഭാരം പേറി അവിടുന്ന് തിരിച്ചു നടന്നു. ഖാലിദുൽ അദവാനി ഒരനുബന്ധം ഇവിടെ പറയുന്നതിങ്ങനെയാണ്. അദ്ദേഹം ത്വാഇഫിലെ തെരുവിൽ ഒരു വില്ലിൽ ഊന്നി നിൽക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ ഖുർആനിലെ എൺപത്തി ആറാമത്തെ അധ്യായം 'ത്വാരിഖ്' പാരായണം ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഞാൻ കേട്ടു. അത് ഹൃദ്യസ്ഥമാക്കി. അന്ന് ഞാൻ ബഹുദൈവ വിശ്വാസിയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ഇസ്‌ലാമിൽ ഞാനത് പാരായണം ചെയ്തു.
ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകനി ﷺ ൽ നിന്ന് എന്തോ ശ്രദ്ധാപൂർവ്വം ശ്രവിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ട ത്വാഇഫുകാർ എന്നോട് ചോദിച്ചു. എന്താണ് നിങ്ങൾ മുഹമ്മദി ﷺ ൽ നിന്ന് ശ്രവിച്ചത്. ഞാനവരെ അത് കേൾപ്പിച്ചു. അപ്പോഴേക്കും ആ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ള ഖുറൈശികൾ പറഞ്ഞു, ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാട്ടിലുള്ള വ്യക്തിയെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കല്ലേ നന്നായി അറിയുന്നത്. അവർ പറയുന്നതിൽ വല്ല സത്യവുമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പിൻപറ്റുമായിരുന്നില്ലേ?
ഖുറൈശികൾ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ അന്വേഷണത്തിന്റെ വഴികൾ കൂടി മുടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ത്വാഇഫിൽ മുത്ത്നബി ﷺ അനുഭവിച്ച പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളുടെ തീക്ഷ്ണത അവിടുത്തെ ഓർമയിൽ മറക്കാനാവാത്തതായിരുന്നു. ഇമാം ബുഖാരി(റ)യും ഇമാം അഹ്മദും(റ) നിവേദനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഹദീസ് ഇങ്ങനെ വായിക്കാം. മഹതി ആഇശ(റ) നബി ﷺ യോട് ചോദിച്ചു. ഉഹദ് യുദ്ധ ദിവസത്തേക്കാൾ പ്രയാസമേറിയ വല്ലദിവസവും അവിടുത്തേക്ക് നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ? അവിടുന്ന് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു. ആഇശാ.. നിന്റെ ജനതയിൽ ഞാനഭിമുഖീകരിച്ച ഏറ്റവും തിക്തമായ അനുഭവം ത്വാഇഫിലെ അഖബയിൽ വെച്ച് യാലീൽ ബിൻ അബ്ദു കുലാലിനെ ഇസ്ലാമിലേക്ക് ക്ഷണിച്ചപ്പോഴായിരുന്നു. ഒരാളും എന്റെ ക്ഷണം സ്വീകരിച്ചില്ല. ഞാൻ മനം നൊന്ത് തിരിച്ചു സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. 'ഖർനു സ്സആലിബ്' എന്ന പ്രദേശത്ത് എത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് എനിക്കൊരാശ്വാസമായത്. ഞാൻ ശിരസ്സുയർത്തി നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ ഒരു മേഘക്കൂട്ടം തണൽ വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിലേക്ക് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ അതായിരിക്കുന്നു മലക്ക് ജിബ്'രീൽ(അ). മലക്ക് സലാം ചൊല്ലിക്കൊണ്ട് എന്നെ വിളിച്ചു. അല്ലയോ മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ. അവിടുത്തെ ജനതയുടെ വർത്തമാനങ്ങളും അവർ അവിടുത്തോട് പ്രതികരിച്ചതും അല്ലാഹു അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. അത് കൊണ്ട് പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ ദൗത്യമുള്ള മലക്കിനെ അങ്ങോട്ടയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. തങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടത് ആ മലക്കിനോട് കൽപ്പിച്ചോളൂ. ഉടനെ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ മലക്ക് വിളിച്ചു. സലാം ചൊല്ലി. എന്നിട്ട് പറഞ്ഞു, അവിടുത്തെ ജനത അവിടുത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞതും പ്രതികരിച്ചതുമൊക്കെ അല്ലാഹു അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ ദൗത്യമുള്ള മലക്കാണ്. തങ്ങൾ വേണ്ടത് കൽപ്പിച്ചോളൂ. അതിനാണ് എന്നെ നിയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. അവിടുന്ന് താത്പര്യപ്പെടുന്ന പക്ഷം രണ്ട് പർവ്വതങ്ങൾ അവർക്ക് മേൽ മറിച്ചിടാം. അപ്പോൾ നബി ﷺ പറഞ്ഞു. വേണ്ട, അല്ലാഹുവിനോട് ഒന്നിനെയും പങ്കു ചേർക്കാത്ത വിധം അവനെ മാത്രം ആരാധിക്കുന്നവർ അവരുടെ പരമ്പരയിൽ അല്ലാഹു ജനിപ്പിക്കണം എന്നാണ് എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം.
ഇക്‌രിമ (റ) ന്റെ നിവേദനത്തിൽ ഇപ്രകാരമാണുള്ളത്. നബി ﷺ പറഞ്ഞു. ജിബ്‌രീൽ(അ) എന്റെയടുക്കൽ വന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, അല്ലാഹു അവിടുത്തേക്ക് സലാം അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇത് പർവ്വതങ്ങളുടെ മലക്കാണ്. അവിടുത്തെ കൽപനയെന്തോ അത് നിർവ്വഹിക്കാനാണ് ഉത്തരവ് നൽകപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളത്. അപ്പോൾ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ മലക്ക് പറഞ്ഞു. അവിടുന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന പക്ഷം ത്വാഇഫുകാരുടെ മേൽ പർവ്വതത്തെ മറിച്ചിടാം. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവരെ ഭൂമിയിൽ ആഴ്ത്തിക്കളയാം. ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് അവസരം നൽകാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. 'ലാഇലാഹ ഇല്ലല്ലാഹ്' എന്ന് ചൊല്ലുന്നവർ അവരുടെ പരമ്പരയിൽ നിന്നുണ്ടാകുന്നതിനെ ഞാൻ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, നബി ﷺ പ്രതികരിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ മലക്ക് പറഞ്ഞു. അല്ലാഹു അവിടുത്തേക്ക് 'റഊഫ്', 'റഹീം' എന്ന് നാമകരണം ചെയ്ത പോലെ അവിടുന്ന് കരുണയും വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരാണല്ലോ.
മുത്ത്നബി ﷺ ത്വാഇഫിൽ നിന്ന് മക്കയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങാനൊരുങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ഒപ്പമുള്ള സൈദ് ബിൻ ഹാരിസ(റ) ചോദിച്ചു. അവിടുന്ന് മക്കയിലേക്ക് എങ്ങനെ തിരിച്ചുപോകും. അവർ അവിടുത്തെ അവിടെ നിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കിയതല്ലേ? അല്ലയോ സൈദേ ഇക്കാര്യത്തിലെല്ലാം ഒരു തുറസ്സും പരിഹാരവും നൽകിയ അല്ലാഹു അവന്റെ മതത്തെ സഹായിക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنٰا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ

Not a single man or woman from Twaif accepted the invitation of the Prophet ﷺ. Returned from there sadly. In a narration, Khalidul Adawani says like this .He was leaning on a bow in the street of Twaif. Then heard Muhammad ﷺ reciting the eighty-sixth chapter of the holy Qur'an, "Al Twariq". I memorized it. I was a polytheist then. Later in Islam I recited it.
The people of Twaif asked me when they saw me listening carefully to something from the Prophet. What did you hear from Muhammad ﷺ?.I made them hear what I heard. By that time, a Quraish in that group said, "Don't we know the person in our country very well?" If there is any truth in what he says, wouldn't we follow?
The Quraish were also obstructing the way of other's search of truth . The beloved Prophet ﷺ's trials in Twaif were unforgettable in his memory. Here is a hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari and Imam Ahmad (R). Ayisha (R) asked the Prophet ﷺ.Has he faced any day more difficult than the day of the Battle of Uhud? He said this. Ayisha, the most poignant experience I encountered among your people was when Yaleel bin Abd Kulal was invited to Islam at Aqaba in Tawaif. No one accepted my invitation. I went back with a heavy heart. I was relieved when I reached the area called 'Qarnu Sa'alib'. I looked up and saw a group of clouds spreading shade. When I looked at it, it was Angel Jibreel. The Angel called me saying Salam. O Muhammad ﷺ. Allah knows the affairs of your people and how they responded to you . That is why he has sent the angel with the charge of mountain. Command the angel what you want. Immediately the angel of the mountain called him said 'Salam' . Allah knows what your people said and responded to you . I am the angel in charge of mountain . So command what you want. That is what I have been appointed for. If you wish, two mountains can be overturned on them. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "No. My wish is that Allah should raise among them those who worship Him alone so that they do not associate anything with Allah."
It is as follows in the narration of Ikrimah (R). The Prophet ﷺ said, Jibreel came to me and said, "Allah has sent salutations to you. This is the angel incharge of the mountains. The order has been given to carry out whatever is commanded by you ."
I want to give them a chance'. I expect from their line in future who say Lailaha illallah. The Prophet ﷺ responded. Then the angel said. As Allah named you 'Raoof' and 'Raheem', you are merciful and forgiving.
When the Prophet ﷺ was about to return to Mecca from Twaif, Zaid bin Haritha who was with him asked how he would go back to Mecca .As he was compelled to go out from there . Didn't they expel you from there? Nay, Zaid, Allah, who gave a way and solution in all these matters, will surely help his religion.
